The Iconic Sevruga Restaurant Relaunches
Same Same, but Different.
The iconic and well-loved Sevruga restaurant in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town has reopened it’s doors with a venue overhaul and a brand new menu to boot.
Sevruga restaurant is visited by locals and internationals alike, and has become frequented by those wanting great seafood that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Now, with new ownership and management, the restaurant has received a much-needed extra bout of love and life, giving it a brand new look and feel, vibe and ethos.“A fresh approach is the only approach; you won’t find any frozen items on Sevruga’s menu,” says Michael Townsend, the founder and previous owner of Harbour House Group, now the owner of this jewel in the Waterfront crown. The new Sevruga has done away with anything frozen and replaced it with only the most fresh of seafood. The decor of the restaurant has made it infinitely more inviting, with tropical prints, ivy ceilings and marble floors..- a far cry from the previously dark interior that, frankly, people tried to avoid on a beautiful day.
This has really been the facelift of facelifts, and they’re all the better for it.As for us – we now have a new favourite spot on the block. Order the Prawn Surprise and eat your heart out. Thank me later.
